Biography
Michelle Renee began her journey of art exploration over 45 years ago when she began taking instructions from a friend who was an oil painter. She found herself fascinated by the painting process and continued to study and practice new art techniques. Later, she pursued further education through art classes and workshops. She found that one of the things she loves most about art is that there is no end to growing as an artist. In her own words, “There are no limits to your growth as an artist, you will forever evolve and improve.”
Her work showcases her passion for vivid colors and love for experimentation with mediums and textures. She paints in oil over mixed media, watercolor, and acrylics.
Michelle Renee has lived in Florida for over 25 years and loves the inspiration she finds in the inviting coastal life.
Artist Statement
My artwork is an exploration of play, transformation, and the endless possibilities found in seeing the world from a new perspective. I am drawn to the unexpected - the surprising burst of color, the hidden meaning within a shape or the moment when an image reveals itself in a way that was never planned.
Through my work, I celebrate harmony between imagination and nature, curiosity and wisdom, light and shadow. Each piece is an invitation to look closer, to embrace wonder, to discover something beyond the obvious. I believe art has the power to transform, not only materials, but also the way we experience ourselves and the world around us.
Playfulness is at the heart of my creative process. It allows me to experiment, explore, and welcome happy accidents as moments of enlightenment and discovery. The unexpected colors, forms, and interpretations that emerge become part of the story - reminding us that the beauty often appears when we allow ourselves to be open, curious, and free.
